Gunmen attack Sri Lanka cricketers in Lahore, Sangakara hurt

In a major incident that is bound to shake the world of cricket, gunmen attacked the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore on Tuesday as the players were making their way to the Gaddafi Stadium to take part in the second Test.

Television channels reported that around 7 to 8 members of the Sri Lankan cricket team were injured in the attack after four gunmen opened fire and lobbed grenades at the team bus.

Also, four policemen killed in the firing at a police van that was escorting Sri Lankan team from their hotel to the stadium.
